If the UK is to be a world economic leader in the future, we need to think much further forward. Without planning for our intellectual capacity, we won't have enough people with the necessary skills to be world leading innovators that export the cutting edge in a variety of industries. In planning this strategy, we must not neglect the thousands of people who don't yet have the same opportunities as the privileged minority. If we are brave enough to invest in their minds today, we will be a much wealthier and self sustaining country in the long term.
