Earlier in the year I helped the local Labour Councillors campaign to keep the Kingshurst medical centre open. This was so people had the access they need to good local medical care.
Since then, as a result of the hard work from the Labour Councillor for Kingshurst (David Jamieson), and Labour Councillor candidate and chairman of the Kingshurst Parish Council (David Cole), the medical centre will remain open. Even better, they have campaigned for a full refurbishment and the council is close to an agreement to finalise this important development.
In the medium term, David Jamieson, David Cole and the other Labour Councillors are also campaigning for a new medical centre on either the Mountfort site or in part of the Kingshurst parade. This is a successful example of the Labour Party campaigning for the NHS and for the people of Kingshurst.
